SMS is personal, which is exactly why it works — and why a robotic message gets ignored. These principles help your drip campaigns sound like a person and earn replies.
Keep it short and specific
One idea per message. Ask a simple question that’s easy to answer, like “Are you still the owner of the property on Main Street?”
Sound like a human
Use a first name, plain language and no jargon. Avoid all-caps, too many links and anything that reads like an ad.
Space the sequence out
A typical sequence might run over two to three weeks with gradually longer gaps. Stop the sequence as soon as someone replies, and route that reply to a person.
Respect opt-outs and quiet hours
Make it easy to opt out, honour requests immediately and send only at reasonable local times. Follow your provider’s rules and the regulations in your market.
Track and improve
Measure reply rate, positive responses and cost per lead for every message variation. Keep what works, rewrite what doesn’t.
